The Council for Religious and Life Stance Communities (STL) invites you to the STL Annual Seminar 2018.

Professor Karima Bennoune, UN Special Rapporteur in the field of cultural rights will give the keynote speech. Bennoune will address the cultural rights approach to the universality of human rights and the close interrelationship between universality and cultural diversity.

The Norwegian Minister of Culture, Trine Skei Grande and Dr. Srirak Plipat, Executive Director of the international NGO Freemuse for artistic freedom will join Professor Karima Bennoune in a conversation. Moderator: Researcher and Network Coordinator, Ingvill Thorson Plesner, The Norwegian Center for Holocaust and Minority Studies.

• What can we do about restrictions on freedom and participation for women within religions?
• How can contribution of artistic and cultural initiatives create and develop right-respecting societies?

The seminar is conducted in English before the break and in Norwegian after the break. No entrance fee.
